Andrew R. Bordeaux, M.S., CCC-SLP, is an ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist and the founder of MKE SLP. His passion is supporting individuals in achieving their communication goals and helping advance communication skills for individuals of all abilities. Andrew has a uniquely diverse clinical background including specialized skills implementing Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) across the lifespan, immersive training in maternal and child health, and implementing interventions for complex communication needs of individuals with developmental and acquired disabilities.
Education and Experience
He is a graduate of UW-Milwaukee (B.S.) and UNC-Chapel Hill's School of Medicine (M.S.), and he completed an additional two years of advanced training through the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) program. Andrew worked in multiple specialty clinics at the University of Wisconsin - Madison's Waisman Center, and he was an AAC Specialist with Specialty Speech & Education Services serving the Onslow County School District in eastern North Carolina. Most recently, he worked as a national speech generating device consultant where he traveled extensively to support individuals who use Assistive Technology and AAC strategies from all across the United States.
Professional Goals
Andrew's clinical skills and experience have focused on interprofessional assessment and rehabilitation across multiple environments including medical, clinical, university, and educational settings. His professional goal is to contribute to the knowledge and understanding of complex communication disorders while supporting individuals to achieve communication potentials to maximize quality of life.
Andrew was born and raised in Milwaukee WI. He also spent many days in the Lake Country area. Outside of speech-language pathology, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, exploring Wisconsin's outstanding bike trails, and going on hikes with his wife and Carolina dog.
